Quarantine Location

Quarantine

A special location called the quarantine location exists for every warehouse. The ID of the quarantine location can be discovered by using a special form of Location GET.

The quarantine location is used when stock needs to be considered as being present in a particular Warehouse, but should not be available for sale, allocation or Reservation. It is typically used to store unpacked deliveries, damaged stock or customer returns.

Stock can be moved into quarantine by using Goods-In Notes or External Transfers, but can only be released from quarantine using Quarantine Release.
